Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers before you book — if something's missing, just ask us directly.

How is Victory Flag different from typical career counselling?

We follow a structured four-stage approach — Discover, Design, Develop, Deliver — rather than a single test and a verdict. We look at interests, personality, aptitude, skills and readiness together, and connect that to real educational and career planning. It also combines genuine psychology and counselling expertise with 20+ years of real corporate experience — insight and practicality in the same room.

Does your support end after the first session?

No. Our support doesn't end with a single session. Follow-up consultations are available to review progress, address emerging questions and refine the plan as needed.

Who is Victory Flag for?

Anyone who's ready to think seriously about their next step — school students, university students, graduates, career changers, and working professionals. There's no single profile; if you're keen to understand yourself better and plan deliberately, this is for you.

At what age should someone start career counselling?

There's no single right age. Self-discovery can begin as early as the middle-school years, with more focused subject, course and career planning as a student moves through secondary school — and it's just as valuable for adults reconsidering their direction later on. The approach adapts to whatever stage you're at.

Do you help with subject or stream selection?

Yes. Subject and stream selection is a core part of the Design stage — we factor in interests, aptitude, strengths and longer-term goals before making any recommendation.

Do you recommend a specific career based on a single test?

We treat assessment results as one source of evidence, not a verdict. Interests, personality, aptitude, skills and readiness are looked at together, alongside a real conversation, before exploring suitable pathways — no single test makes that call on its own.

What assessments do you use?

Depending on age and need, this can include a career interest assessment (RIASEC), a Big Five personality profile, aptitude and reasoning assessments (verbal, numerical, logical and abstract), and skills & competency mapping. Not everyone needs every assessment — it's tailored.

Will the assessment tell me exactly which career to choose?

The goal is to help you understand yourself and explore genuine possibilities, not hand down a predetermined answer. Career direction is something to revisit and refine as you grow, not decide once and for all.

Do parents get involved in the process?

Yes, where it's useful — particularly around subject choices and education pathways. We aim to open up a real conversation between student and parent, while keeping the student's own voice at the centre of it.

Do you help with studying abroad?

Yes — course, university, and pathway guidance for both India and overseas options, tailored to the individual's profile and circumstances.

Do you provide scholarship guidance?

Yes, we help identify relevant scholarship opportunities in India and abroad, including eligibility and rough timelines. Scholarship details change often, so guidance is based on the most current information available at the time.

Do you offer IELTS preparation?

Yes, as part of the Develop stage, for anyone who needs it as part of their pathway.

What if I don't know what career I want?

That's one of the most common — and most useful — starting points. We don't open with "what do you want to be?" We start with who you are, what genuinely interests you, and what you're capable of, and build outward from there.

What if I don't want to take a formal assessment?

That's fine — career development doesn't have to start with a test. Conversation, exploration and structured reflection work too, depending on what actually fits.

How long does the process take?

It varies. Some people need a single focused conversation; others benefit from a fuller assessment and development programme over several sessions. We recommend the right level of support after an initial discussion, rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

Online or in person?

Both — by appointment, whichever works better for you.

Do you work with Cambridge / IGCSE or other curricula?

Yes, we take the specific curriculum, subject structure and pathway options into account.

Do you guarantee admission or a particular outcome?

No — we provide evidence-informed guidance, planning and preparation, but outcomes depend on academic performance, admissions criteria, competition, and your own effort. No consultancy can honestly promise otherwise.

What do I actually receive?

Depending on what's chosen, this can include a personalised assessment summary, career/education recommendations, a skills-gap analysis, and a practical action plan — always something concrete to walk away with.

Not sure which service is right for you? Book an initial consultation and we'll recommend the most appropriate pathway.
